1What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as local storage, pixels and software development kits, work in comparable ways. Schwerd Capital Holdings LLC, doing business as Cadey.ai (“Cadey”) and our service providers use these technologies to keep you signed in, secure the Service, remember your choices, and understand how our site and product are used. This policy should be read with our Privacy Policy.
We aim to minimize the cookies we use and avoid advertising and cross-site tracking cookies. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
2Categories of cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Consent | Typical lifespan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Sign-in sessions, authentication, security (including anti-CSRF), load balancing and core functionality. The Service does not work without these. | Always on; no consent required | Session to ~13 months |
| Functional | Remember your preferences, such as interface choices and previously entered information, to improve your experience. | On by default; can be disabled in your browser | Session to ~12 months |
| Analytics | Understand how our website and product are used, in aggregate, so we can measure performance and improve them. We use privacy-respecting analytics and do not use them for advertising. | Consent-based where required by law | Up to ~24 months |
Exact cookie names and lifespans can change as we update the Service and our providers. Where the law requires consent for non-essential cookies, we ask for it before setting them and honor your choice; strictly necessary cookies are always active because the Service cannot function without them.
3The embeddable widget
When a business embeds the Cadey chat or booking widget on its own website, the widget may set a small identifier (for example, in local storage) to maintain your conversation, associate your messages, and prevent abuse. In that context, Cadey acts as the processor for the business that operates the website, and that business's privacy and cookie notices apply to its site. The widget is designed to use only what is necessary to function and does not set advertising cookies.
4Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by the providers that help us operate the Service, such as our hosting, security, authentication and analytics partners. These providers process the related data on our behalf under contractual obligations, as described in our Subprocessors list and Privacy Policy. We do not permit them to use cookies set through our Service for their own independent advertising.
5How to manage cookies
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Cookie controls: where we present a consent banner or preference control, you can accept or decline non-essential categories and change your choice later.
- Browser settings: most browsers let you block or delete cookies and warn you before they are set. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Service from working.
- Device and platform controls: your operating system and browser may offer additional privacy and tracking-protection settings.
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal. Where required by applicable law, we treat a recognized opt-out preference signal as a valid request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information; as noted above, we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in any event.
6Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our technologies and legal obligations evolve. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Questions can be sent to privacy@cadey.ai.
